Gaska, Catherine (9 NOV 1879 - 7 APR 1964)
Last rites were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel here on Saturday morning, April 11th
at ten o'clock for Mrs. Frank (Catherine) Gaska, 84, who passed away at the
Memorial Hospital at Stanley on April 7, 1964. Father Edward Masalewicz
officiated.
The deceased was born in Poland on Nov. 9, 1879. She came to America in the year
1902 and lived at St. louis, Mo., until 1916. She was united in marriage to
Frank Gaska there in 1903. They came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1916 and
farmed in the town of Withee for 13 years, also in the Town of Thorp for four
years, and in the Town of Reseburg until 1950, when they moved to the city of
Thorp. The couple has been residing at the Stanley Nursing Home since 1960.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Sydorowicz
of Neillsville, (Genevieve) Mrs. John Czech of Hannibal, and (Wanda) Mrs. Andrew
Biddle of Thorp, 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. One sister,
Christine, preceded her in death.
Burial was made in St. Hedwig's Parish Cemetery. Grandsons were pallbearers,
Larry and Gary Biddle, Adolph and John Czech, and Charles and Victor Sydorowicz.

Sydorowicz, Viola, Wis., Mrs. Pauline Sydorowicz and Victor Sydorowicz,
Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Czech and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frasse
and children, Belvidere, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Czech, Medford, John Czech,
Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Czech and family, Westboro, Mr. and Mrs. John Czech,
Adolph and Kathy Czech, Hannibal, and friends from Lublin, Stanley and
surrounding areas.
