Boetzer, Carl (20 MAY 1857 – 12 OCT 1905)
Carl Boetzer passed away last Thursday afternoon of heart disease after a year’s
illness following an accident. He was 48 years of age.
Carl Boetzer, son of William Boetzer and Henrietta nee Utecht, was born May
20th, 1857 in Praclwitz, Province of West Russia, Germany.
He emigrated with his parents to the United States in 1875 and first resided in
Fall Creek of this county but soon moved to the town of Bridge Creek where he
has resided ever since.
He married in 1893 Matilda nee Grulke, his present wife. They had four children,
one of whom died in infancy.
He is mourned by his widow Matilda, his 82-years-old father William, his three
children, Herman, Maria and Emma, and by three brothers and three sisters.
Mr Carl Boetzer has been a member of the German Lutheran Church of this city for
nine years. The funeral services were held at the German Lutheran Church last
Sunday at 1 pm.
