Popp, Elvera (Marriage - 9 June 1968)
Miss Elvera Popp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johann Popp of Kronach, Germany, and
Dale Appleyard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Appleyard of Neillsville, were married
June 9, in Emmaus Lutheran Church in Denver, Colo.
Given in marriage by her brother, Johann Popp of Denver, she chose for her
wedding a white satin and lace empire styled gown. A crown of seed pearls and
crystals held a bouffant veil. She carried a Bible topped with orchids and
streamers of white roses and stephanotis.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Verla Peters. Flowergirl was Margie Pickins, and
ringbearer was Norman Garcia.
Baskets of pink and white roses adorned the church. A reception was held in the
church parlors.
The bride received her education in Kronach, Germany, and is employed as a
dental assistant in Denver. Dale, who attended Wisconsin State University - Eau
Claire, is employed by A. B. M. Calculator Company in Denver. He served three
years in the Air Force.
