Denzin, Anna (Robida) (February 24, 1915 - July 3, 2010)
Anna Denzin, 95, Medford, died Saturday, July 3 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where she was taken earlier by ambulance.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford.
The former Anna Robida was born February 24, 1915 in Stetsonville, to the late
Anton and Mary (Moran) Robida.
She attended Stetsonville Grade School, was a graduate of Medford High School, and received her teaching degree from Taylor County Normal School. She taught in a one-room schoolhouse for a couple of years.
On June 30, 1937 in Stetsonville, she married Edward W. Denzin, who preceded her
in death on April 2, 2001. They moved into Medford where she was a housewife and
also volunteered at Holy Rosary School in the cafeteria.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and past member of Medford
Sunshine Club and Holy Rosary Ladies Group. She enjoyed embroidery, playing
cards, especially sheepshead, bingo, canning, baking and gardening, especially
her flowers.
Survivors include a son, Dennis (Pamella) of Rothschild; a brother, Donovan (Jo)
of Stratford; a sister, Margaret (Walter) Balciar of Medford; four
grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Denzin of Lake Mills, Michelle (Jake) Trussoni of
North Prairie, Wyly (Victoria) Scheibe of Schofield and Mark Denzin of
Rothschild; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son,
Linus; a daughter, Sharon; and three brothers, John, Roy and William.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family to be designated at a
later date.
