Schlosser, Russell D. (March 26, 1942 - September 9, 2008)

 

Russell "Russ" D. Schlosser, 66, Plover, died Tuesday, Sept. 9 at his home.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Sept. 13 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, with Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake at a later date.

 

Russell Schlosser was born March 26, 1942 in Medford to Raymond and Mildred (Johnson) Schlosser.

 

He graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1960 and worked in Chicago, Ill. while attending DePaul University. He served in the United States Army from August 1966 to August 1968 when he was honorably discharged. He then worked in the mobile home industry in Stratford and Wausau.

 

On October 10, 1970 in Rib Lake, he married Nancy Jean Resudek, who survives.

 

After earning his business degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, they moved to Plover where he worked as an individual life underwriter for Sentry Insurance until his retirement in September 2003.

 

He enjoyed working on his lawn and his cars.

 

In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, Craig; his mother, Mildred of Rib Lake; a brother, Raymond Jr. (Mary Ann) of Rib Lake; and 11 nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father.

 

Shuda Family Funeral Services of Plover assisted the family with arrangements.
