Stafford, Elton Ray (July 6, 1932 - February 20, 2010)
Elton Ray Stafford, 77, Medford, died Saturday, Feb. 20 at his daughter's home,
under the care of his family and hospice. At his request, the family will hold a
private memorial.
Elton Stafford was born July 6, 1932 in Borger, Texas, to the late Owen and Mary Stafford.
He married JoAnne Sammons, who preceded him death. He lived in Arizona until
moving to Medford in 1995 to be closer to family.
He enjoyed antique automobiles, military airplanes, reading and riding his
scooter.
Survivors include three daughters, Val (Ron) Euclide and Toni (Tom) Matthias,
both of Medford and Cheri Lorig of Arizona; three sons, Greg Swaim, Larry
(Sandi) Stafford, both of Medford, and Tim Swaim of Arizona; 18 grandchildren;
27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son; four
sisters, Mary, Ava, Madeline and Janice; and three brothers, Owen, Alan and
Charles.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
