Yanko, Marion Theresa (January 29, 1928 - March 7, 2010)
Marion Theresa Yanko, 82, Rib Lake, died Sunday, March 7 at her home under the care of her family and hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dustin Hoefferle, Jim Rusnak, Larry Rusnak, Jason Wojcik, Justin Hoefferle, John Hoefferle, Kyle Frahm and Ashley Hoefferle.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 12 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel
Funeral Home in Rib Lake with a parish prayer service at 9 p.m., and at the
church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
The former Marion Eisner was born January 29, 1928 in Stratford to the late John
and Marybell (Dennee) Eisner.
The family moved to Park Falls when she was three. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic Grade School.
On April 6, 1946 in Park Falls, she married John Hoefferle, who preceded her in
death on April 6, 1966. They lived in Park Falls, later moved to Chicago, Ill.,
then to Rib Lake in 1964.
On September 9, 1967, she married Frank Yanko, who preceded her in death on January 6, 1986.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and past member of Christian
Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting, canning, working in the garden, bird watching,
listening to the frogs, puzzles, taking care of her family and spending time at
her summer home on Willow Lake.
Survivors include three sons, Don (Donna) of Rib Lake, Gary (Gayle) of Medford
and Ron (Wendi) Hoefferle of Cameron; three daughters, Judith Rusnak of Rib
Lake, Janet (David) Hemminger of Marshfield and Donna (Scott) Wojcik of
Prentice; 12 stepchildren, Johanne (Wayne) Bowling of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Mary
(John) Mullen of Milwaukee, Fran (David) Woyak of Hancock, Joe (Luanne) Yanko
and Dorathy (Gary) Nelson, both of Rib Lake, Jan (Frank) Waszkiewicz of Queen
Creek, Ariz., Jim (friend Joyce) Yanko of Lake Mills, Myrna (Don) Schwartz of
Allenton, Terri Yanko of Florence, Ariz., Sue (Chris) Peterson of Watertown,
Becky (Jim) Rindt of Medford and Elaine (Walter) Emmerich of Westboro; a
daughter-in-law, Doris (Tom) Kopp of Owen; five brothers, Bob (Joann), Bill
(Delores) and Chuck (Rita), all of Rib Lake, David (Mary) of Spirit and Ron
(Marge) of Phillips; a sister, Roberta (Donald) Engle of Fort Atkinson; a
brother-in-law, Paul Ochodnicky of the Town of Hill; 19 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; 36 step-grandchildren; 44 step-great-grandchildren; and
three step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons,
Leonard Hoefferle Sr. and James Hoefferle; two grandsons, Leonard Hoefferle Jr.
and Matthew Hoefferle; two brothers, Lloyd (Lorraine) and John (Esther); a
sister, Helen Ochodnicky; and a son-in-law, Larry Rusnak.
