Gallistel, Melvin Anton (June 7, 1926 – April 3, 2008)

Melvin Anton Gallistel, 81, Ogema, died Thursday, April 3 at his home under the care of his family and Hope Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, April 7 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Dennis Meulemans officiating. Interment with full military honors conducted by Premeau-Schauss VFW Post No. 7817 of Westboro, was held at Hillside Cemetery in Ogema.

Active pallbearers were Gene Gallistel, Keith Gallistel, Adam Pesola, Ryan Kiefer, Tim Ahlers, Ken Kauzlaric and Brad Nelson. Honorary pallbearer was Ernie Tervi. Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
