Eisner, Lorraine Agnes (December 10, 1928 - January 16, 2010)
Lorraine Agnes Eisner, 81, Rib Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 16, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Active pallbearers were Sheila Hamann, Eric Thums, Stacy Brandner, Jesse Eisner, Steve Eisner, David Eisner, Sean Duffy and Tina Fuchs. Honorary pallbearers were Angela McGuire and Caleb Makovsky.
The former Lorraine Weis was born December 10, 1928 in Stratford to the late
Steve and Barbara (Kettrel) Weis. She attended grade school in Rozellville and
later moved to Park Falls while in first grade and attended Sweet Clover Grade
School.
On October 11, 1947 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Park Falls, she married
Lloyd Daniel Eisner, who preceded her in death. They made their home in Park
Falls, then moved to Medford and later to Rib Lake. They moved to Watertown in
1978 and lived there for 25 years before moving back to Rib Lake in 2002, where
they have lived since.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and past member of the
Christian Mothers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shaking dice,
playing bingo, woodworking and crocheting.
Survivors include five children, Ted (Cheryl), Ron (Diane), John (Mona) and
Thomas, all of Rib Lake, and Peggy (Tim) Makovsky of Westboro; a
daughter-in-law, Nancy Holmes of Marshfield; two sisters, Arlene (Jim) Yunk of
Park Falls and Ruth Moore of Lombard, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Shirley Weis of
Park Falls; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and
other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dan;
a daughter, Barb Dassow; a granddaughter, Cindy Thums; three brothers, Ted, Bob
and Joe; and two sisters, Marian (John) Singer and Agnes (Otto) Koenig.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
