Soyk, Donald “Don” R. (September 12, 1961 - December 29, 2009)

 

Donald "Don" R. Soyk, 48, Stetsonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 29 at his home.

The family will hold services at a later date.

 

Donald Soyk was born September 12, 1961 in Marshfield to the late Orville C. and Lillian M. (Severson) Soyk. He attended Abbotsford High School.

 

On May 23, 1981 in Milan he married Polly Ackerman, and they later divorced. His union with Michelle Kopp took place in 1989, and they later separated.

 

He worked at Weather Shield, Parrett Manufacturing, Blue Chip and AMPI for a period of years. He was most recently a handyman for people in the area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors, playing Frisbee, guitar and harmonica.

 

Survivors include, a son, Shane (Samantha) of Wausau; two daughters, Brittany (significant other Paul Hoffman) Soyk of Merrill and Amber Soyk of Wausau; a sister, Mary (Ken) Graun of Abbotsford; three brothers, Larry (Karen) and Russel (Dawn), both of Abbotsford, and Dennis of Loyal; and two grandsons, Caden Soyk, and Mason Soyk due in two weeks.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his name to be designated at a later date.
