Hamland, Hazel M. (September 15, 1927- October 19, 2009)
Hazel M. Hamland, 82, Medford, died Monday, Oct.19 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 22 at Our Saviours Lutheran
Church in the Town of Holway, with Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman. Burial will
be at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Holway.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Dana Olson, Stacie Yi, Bri
Cypher, Brook Wesle, Anne, Liv and Nikoline Mandehr, and Tianna and Kia
Hamland.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Deron and Todd Olson, Nathan
Mandehr, Landon, Seth and Granger Hamland, and Dustin and Ty Hamland.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

MEDFORD -- Hazel M. Hamland, 82, a town of Little Black resident, died
Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at her home under the care of her family and Hope
Hospice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviour's Lutheran
Church, town of Holway. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of
services.
Hazel was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Rockford, Ill., to Michael and Helen
(Jacobsen) Vagle.
She was united in marriage Nov. 13, 1948, at DeKalb, Ill., to Austin C.
Hamland. He preceded her in death April 16, 1994.
The coupled farmed for many years in the towns of Holway and Little Black
until retirement.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Gerald) Olson of the town of Holway,
David Hamland of Apply Valley, Minn., Nancy (Ron) Weikum of Woodville, Alvin
Hamland of the town of Little Black and Richard (Lynn) Hamland of the town
of Holway; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
