Stibbe, Myrtle Ethel (September 30, 1922 - October 7, 2009)
 
Myrtle Ethel Stibbe, 87, Town of Greenwood, died Wednesday, Oct. 7 at
Memorial Nursing Home in Medford.
 
A private funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 10 at Dallmann-Kniewel
Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating.
Interment was at Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Holway.
Pallbearers were Rick Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Ash Nelson, Nick Nelson, Jenna
Nelson and Jamie Nelson.

 
The former Myrtle Degner was born September 30, 1922 in Merrill to the late
Oscar and Emma (Dorschmidt) Degner. She attended Goodrich Graded School.
 
On December 14, 1940 at the Lutheran Church Parsonage in Rib Lake, she
married Orville Ewald Stibbe, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2009. She
was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.

 
She enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, spending time with the grandchildren, cooking, peeling popple trees and being in the woods.
 
Survivors include a daughter, Florence (Richard) Nelson of Holway; a brother, Effort (Beaulah) Degner of Merrill; three grandchildren; Rick (Mary) Nelson and Kevin (Amy) Nelson, both of Holway, and Rhonda Nelson of Little Black; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a
sister, Irene (George) Schmoeckel.
