Johnson, Birnida (Stroik) (May 20, 1924 - Jun 27, 2010)
Birnida Johnson, 86, Town of Bern, died Sunday, June 27 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

The former Birnida Stroik was born May 20, 1924 in Chicago, Ill., to the late
Harry and Priscilla (Gaskin) Stroik.
She graduated from Lane Tech High School, when it was an all boys' school.
In Chicago, she married Kurt Johnson, who preceded her in death. She lived in
Chicago, then Antioch, Ill., and eventually Westboro. She managed the Senior
Citizens Services in Antioch and also performed as Ladybug the Clown.
She enjoyed reading, painting and interior decorating.
Survivors include three children, Carlene (the late Ray) May of Prospect, Ill.,
Joelle (Sam) Mendoza of Marengo, Ill., and Coby (Denise) of Westboro; a brother,
Harry of Westboro; 10 grandchildren, Kristi May, Creg May, Chad May, Roman
Mendoza, Raiko Mendoza, Ryan Mendoza, Reagan Mendoza, Becki Ziolek, Cavan
Johnson and Devin Johnson; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; other
relatives and friends; and her dog, Echo.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family
with arrangements.
