Nickelson, Nick (1 JAN 1891 – 26 AUG 1953)
Nick Nickelson, a resident of the Town of Ruby, passed away Wednesday evening at his home following a lingering illness.
Mr. Nickelson was born in Porearunn, Norway, Jan. 1, 1891, and came to the U. S. in 1907. He was in the service in World War I in the army and was married to Sigrid Olson Rudi in November 1920 to Forsyth, Mont. They moved to Ruby in 1928 where they have since resided.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Kermit (Borghild) Beyerl, Gilman; Mrs. Joseph (Marion) Phillips, Rock Island, Ill.; one stepson, Edward Rudi of Holcombe, five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Louis Thompson, Chicago, also a sister and brother in Norway.
Mr. Nickelson was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Yellow River and of the Western Taylor County American Legion Post 359.
