Tadic, Radomir (July 3, 1918 - December 11, 2008)

 

Radomir Tadic, 89, Rib Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 11 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

 

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake.


Radomir Tadic was born July 3, 1918 in Yugoslavia where he spent his childhood living with his aunt and working as a shepherd. At the age of 15, he joined the Yugoslavian Army where he fought in World War II. In 1951 he moved to the United States and settled in Elgin, Ill. where he was employed at Elgin Industries for 40 years, retiring in 1991. He moved to Rib Lake in 2003 where he made lots of friends.


Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Missy Jankovic of Rib Lake; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Roger) Hollenbeck of Rib Lake; a grandson, Jeffrey Jankovic of Rib Lake; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Tadic in 1999.
