Lemke, Dorothy E. (28 Sept. 1915 - 1 May 2009)

Dorothy E. Lemke, 93, of Medford died Friday, May 1, 2009, at Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Medford.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Goodrich. The Rev. Carl Busse will officiate.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Lemke was born Sept. 28, 1915, to Herman and Clara (Berg) Grube in West Allis. She married Raymond Bartelt Oct. 8, 1936, and he died in 1943. She married Alfred Lemke on Sept. 5, 1947, and the couple operated a dairy farm until 1973. He died in 1984. She is survived by her children, Richard (Ruth) Bartelt, town of Goodrich, Robert (Norma) Bartelt, Hot Springs, Ark., Narda (Louis) Lichtl, Medford, Alfred (Kathleen) Lemke Jr., town of Hammel, John (Judith) Lemke, town of Hamburg, and James (Marvel) Lemke, Medford; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Arnold Grube, Milwaukee.

Funeral services for Dorothy Lemke of Medford will be at 11:30 a.m. today at St. Andrew Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Goodrich. An incorrect time was published Monday. Hemer Funeral Home of Medford is assisting the family.
