Becker, Orville (May 12, 1938 - April 23, 2009)

Orville Becker, 70, Medford, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 under the care of Hope Hospice Care and his loving family at his home.

Orville was born May 12, 1938, son of the late Herman and Anna (Boehm) Becker. On June 9, 1962, he married Evageline Dahl in Medford. He farmed in the Town of Athens until November of 1984. Orville then moved to the Town of Medford where he worked as a timber consultant for Soreson Land and Limber of Bonduel, until he became very ill.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling throughout the United States and spending time with his family.

Orville is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Evangeline (nee Dahl) Becker, Medford, daughter, Kathleen (Matt) Omelian, Athens, son, Bernard Becker (special friend-Belinda Fechhelm), Dorchester, five special grandchildren, Brandon, Athens and Jessica Omelian, Athens, CiJi Rae, Dorchester, Mitchell, Athens and John Becker of Dorchester, siblings, Marcella Cook, Verna Groff, Medford, Irma (Lee) Parmer, Mattoon, Dorothy Grouhlke , Medford, Delmar (Marilyn) Becker, Wausau, Dale (Sally) Becker, Wausau, his loving dog, Coumadin and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alfred.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Christ United Church, 712 Pine Street, Athens. Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, 312 Caroline Street, Athens and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren, CiJi Rae Becker, Mitchell Becker, John Becker, Brandon Omelian, Jessica Omelian and nephew, Giovanni Faber.
