Lingen, Robert Milton (27 Sept. 1920 – 17 Aug. 1999)

Robert Milton Lingen, 78, of Medford, died Tuesday, August 17, at Memorial Hospital in Medford under the care of Hope Hospice. A memorial service was held Wednesday, August 25, at First Lutheran Church in Ogema with Rev. Jerome Godson officiating.

Cremainal interment took place in Hillside Cemetery in Ogema.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

Robert M. Lingen was born September 27, 1920, in Stanley to Ole and Anna (Larson) Lingen. He served in the United States Army during World War II. His marriage to Helen Elizabeth Tesch took place on March 23, 1943, in Tampa, Fla. He was employed at Strebig Auto and also at H&H Motors as a salesman and service man. He enjoyed the outdoors.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ogema.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; four sons, Gary of Minneapolis, Thomas (Kathryn) of Cumberland, Kenneth (Susan) of Medford, and Charles (Laurie) Lingen of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Lingen of Milwaukee; 13 grandchildren; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Bennett on February 10, 1994; and one granddaughter, Emily Lingen on May 16, 1999.
