Strebig, Thomas L. (April 16, 1941 - April 7, 2009)
Thomas L. Strebig, 67, Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 7. A celebration of Thomas's life will be held at a later date.
Thomas Strebig was born April 16, 1941 in Medford.
Thomas served in the United States Army, entering on June 1, 1959 in Minneapolis, and was honorably discharged on July 13, 1960 in Medford. He received the Sharpshooter Badge. He was self employed most of his life in the heavy machinery industry, and was most recently employed as a consultant for Customer Metal Fabrication of Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was an avid downhill ski racer. His other passions included Formula One Racing and spending time with friends. Survivors include his significant other, Maureen "Lauren" Palecek of Stevens Point; her two sons, Sean of Verona and Patrick of Wausau; a half brother, Ryan (Susan) Amacher of Brainerd, Minn.; and special aunt, Melva Keefe of Medford.
Pisarski-Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
