Brandl, Florence C. (7 Apr. 1918 – 14 Mar. 2009)
MEDFORD -- Florence "La" C. Brandl, 90, a former town of Medford area resident, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Pine Ridge Assisted Living, Colby.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, where there will be a 7:45 p.m. prayer service; and 9 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Florence was born April 7, 1918, in the town of Little Black to Edward and Clara (Tippelt) Bormann. She was united in marriage Feb. 14, 1938, at Medford to Ervin "Red" Brandl. He preceded her in death March 1, 1969.
She was a homemaker until her husband's death, and shortly thereafter, she began working as a laundress at the Medford High School until her retirement in 1994.
She is survived by her children, Dick (Beverly) Brandl of Colby, Sandy (Jim) Brannan of Merrill, Barb Miklautsch of Antioch, Ill., Alan (Lenore) Brandl of Medford and Larry Brandl of Medford; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Bernice) Bormann of Alexandria, Ind.; and a sister, Joyce Bartmann of Watertown.
