Klein, Joseph (5 Jan. 1969 – 27 Feb. 2009)

Joseph Klein, 40, of 1060 Second St., Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday Feb. 27, 2009, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral arrangements are pending. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.

Joseph Klein, 40, of 1060 Second Ave. N., Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday Feb. 27, 2009, at Riverview Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. The Rev. John Swing will officiate. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Joseph was born Jan. 5, 1969, in Wisconsin Rapids to John and Patricia (Roatch) Klein. He was a Gulf War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1991. He was presently employed by Ocean Spray Cranberries in Wisconsin Rapids.

Joseph loved fishing and camping with his children. He also enjoyed socializing with his friends while playing pool, darts, horse shoes and bowling.

He is survived by three children, Cassandra, Christina and John; parents, John and Patricia Klein of Nekoosa; paternal grandmother, Isabelle Klein of Nekoosa; one sister, Janae (Shane) La Mont of Nekoosa and their children Bryce and Kaylee; and his former wife, Jo Ann (Skip) Jones of Wisconsin Rapids.

Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Klein, and maternal grandparents, Ted and Faye Roatch.
