Schimon, Jeffery "Jeff" M. (February 6, 1974 - June 20, 2010)
Jeffery "Jeff" M. Schimon, 36, Town of Goodrich, died Sunday, June 20 at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield where he had been a patient for the past five days.
Funeral services are Thursday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Pallbearers are Chris Skabroud, Marty Higgins, Brad, Randy and Ken Schimon, John Sperl, Matthew Gohlke.
Jeffery Schimon was born February 6, 1974 at Merrill to Raymond and Frances
(Coates) Schimon. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School, Medford Area Middle
School, and was a 1992 graduate of Medford Area Senior High.
After his education he farmed in the town of Goodrich for a period of time. He
also did auto body and auto repair in the town of Goodrich. He worked for
Erickson Dry Wall of Dorchester for a period of time. He worked as a maintenance
man at Tombstone Pizza in Medford from 2001 until 2007. Most recently he worked
as a refrigeration supervisor with Abbyland Foods in Abbotsford until ill health
recently forced his retirement. He also raised Elk in the town of Goodrich.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the National Elk Association.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, all sports and helping people.
In addition to his parents of Goodrich, survivors include his significant other,
Patty Smith, Town of Goodrich; a brother, Brad (Marie) Town of Goodrich; a
sister, Mary Hessefort, Town of Goodrich; three half-brothers, Randy (Linda) of
Tacoma, Wash., Kenneth (Madeline) of Graham, Wash., Terry (Rhonda) of University
Place, Wash.; and half-sister, Cindy (Steve) De Land of Puyallup, Wash.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Hessefort in 2009.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the family for a future
designation.
