Olson, Margaret "Marge" Frances (Strasser) (July 27, 1926 - December 11, 2010)
Margaret "Marge" Frances Olson, 84, Rib Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 11 at her home while under hospice and palliative care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Pallbearers are Jack Kauer, Ben Kauer, Jim Kauer, Chad Olson, Joey Olson and Randy Bischoff.
Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of
the service.
The former Margaret Strasser was born on July 27, 1926 in Edgar to the late
Fredrick and Mary (Kania) Strasser. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic
School in Edgar.
On August 5, 1944 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, she married Marvin
Edward Olson, who preceded her in death on August 10, 1993. She lived in the
Wausau area and later in Milwaukee before moving to Rib Lake four years ago.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Sharon), Duane and Danny "Boomer" (Irma
"Judy"), all of Rib Lake; a brother, Elroy "Butch" (Helen) of Edgar; two
sisters, Delphine Trawicki and Ella Bornheimer, both of Edgar; three
grandchildren, Joey, Lori and Chad Olson; three great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant
daughter, Mary Olson; two brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial contributions in her honor would be appreciated.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family
with arrangements.
