Kuenne, Jill R. (Wegerer) Faber (October 29, 1964 - November 28, 2010)

Jill R. Kuenne, 46, Medford, died Sunday, Nov. 28 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital where she was taken earlier by air ambulance following an accident while riding horse.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Burial will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Pallbearers are Ty Dubois, Brian Hanson, Craig Kloth, Dan Roiger, Cody Rabska, Ricky Leonhard and Billy Gebert.


The former Jill Wegerer was born on October 29, 1964 in the Town of Greenwood to the late Earl Harry and Darlene Marie (Leischer) Wegerer. She attended Town of Greenwood elementary schools and was a graduate of Rib Lake High School.


On September 11, 1982 in Goodrich, she married John Faber and they later divorced.

On October 14, 2000 in the Town of Medford, she married Jeffrey Kuenne, who survives. After her education she worked at Tombstone Pizza in Medford for the past 26 years, where she was employed at the time of her death.


She was a member of We Whittlesey Whizzers Snowmobile Club and Black River Riders Horse Club. She enjoyed horses, snowmobiling, all animals and most of all spending time with her family.


In addition to her husband, Jeffrey, survivors include two daughters, Angie Faber and Amber Faber, both of the Town of Medford; six sisters, Candace (Ed) Bohte of Merrill, and Shiela (Dave) Shadrick, Gail (Bob) Dassow, Valerie (Jay) Viergutz, Jeany (Robin) Dassow and Rita (John) Krueger, all of Medford; five brothers, Dwight (Sue) of Phillips, Orin (Kathy) and Kenneth (Kathy) both of Medford, Neil of Owen and Dennis (Lisa) of Omro; a half-sister, Ardis (Jack) Krieg of Monticello; and father- and mother-in-law, Marvin and Joanne Kuenne of the Town of Medford.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Dustin Dassow.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
