Hamrick, Ingrid V. (Keskimaki) (August 26, 1912 - August 16, 2010)

Ingrid V. Hamrick, 97, Medford, died Monday, Aug. 16 at her home, under the care of her family and hospice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 19 at noon at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway, with Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating. Burial will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kim and NeKole Hamrick, Debra Prell, Lori and Jesse Hoffman and Sara, Grant and Autumn Wilson.


The former Ingrid Keskimaki was born August 26, 1912 in Ishpeming, Mich., to the late Isaac and Hannah (Hanula) Keskimaki. She attended Town of Holway elementary schools. She worked at the family store in Withee and in Chicago, Ill., at General Electric.


On April 2, 1938 in Medford, she married Charles G. Hamrick, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2000. They farmed in the Town of Holway for many years, then in 1962 moved to the Town of Little Black and she worked at various Medford stores including Medford Co-op Hardware Store until the time of her retirement.


She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church and past member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, biking, crocheting, embroidery and spending time with her family.


Survivors include a daughter, LeNore Wilson of Poynette; a daughter-in-law, Karen Hamrick of Minocqua; a son-in-law, Michael Wilson of Madison; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy A. Rillos in 1998; a son, Ronald in 2009; two children in infancy, Donna and Donald in 1938; a son-in-law, Ralph Rillos in 2004; three brothers; and four sisters.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Our Saviours Lutheran Church.
