Anna "Ann" Hattie Andree (Tesch) (June 12, 1916 - August 24, 2010)

Anna "Ann" Hattie Andree, 94, Rib Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake, with Rev. David Elleman officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Ogema. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.


The former Anna Tesch was born June 12, 1916 in Ogema to the late Frank and Alvina (Krolow) Tesch. She attended Forest View School in Ogema and Prentice High School. After working as a maid and nanny in Shorewood for three years, she returned to Ogema.


On August 4, 1935 at German Lutheran Church in Ogema, she married Ronald Lester Andree, who preceded her in death on October 18, 2007. She helped out on the farm and worked at Golden Age Nursing Home in Rib Lake for four years, and at the Gem Product Shoe Factory in Rib Lake for eight years. She was a volunteer for many years at the Rib Lake Senior Citizens Center.


She enjoyed reading, watching TV, playing UNO, watching birds, working in the garden and cooking.


Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (Bernard) Schatz of Robbinsdale, Minn., Arlene (Richard) Mueller of Catawba and Donna (Glenn) Ellenbecker of Butler; two brothers, Carl of Green Bay and Steven (Esther) of Yakima Valley, Wash.; a sister, Dorothy Kilgore of Portage; five grandchildren, Randy (June) Schatz, Ricky Schatz, Ronald (LaVonne) Ellenbecker, Sue (Mark) Snyder and Ann Ellenbecker; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
