Under the chairmanship of Pastor Buenger, the German Evangelical Lutheran Congregation, Unaltered Augsburg Confession of Whittlesey, Taylor County, Wisconsin was officially organized (July 1, 1883) .
Pastor Buenger served Whittlesey Lutheran from 1882 though 1883.
