-Butek, Russell (24 JAN 1940 - 24 APR 1948)
Russell Butek, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Butek, rte. 2, Gilman, died at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, at 11:45 p.m. Saturday. He had suffered a fractured skull when he was struck by a car driven by Chris Olson, route 2, Sheldon, on April 19.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at Sts. Peter & Paul Church at Gilman. Russell was born at Chicago on Jan. 24, 1940, and moved to a farm near Gilman in Jan. 1947. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Leonard Theodore.
Coroner Dave Ruesch state that an inquest would be held at Gilman Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
