Last rites for Mrs. Mary Bednarz, 60, of Lublin (Taylor Co.), Wis., were held at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, July 15th from St. Stanislaus Church in Lublin, Father Dzurko of Gilman officiating. Interment was made in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Carl Nicpon, John Sczypiorski, John Popowski, Joe Kowal, Frank Filas and Stanley Bando.

Mrs. Mary Bednarz died 11:25 Saturday morning, July 12, 1947, at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, Wis., following an illness of five weeks.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Mary Godek, was born on Aug. 14, 1886 in Poland and came to Mystic, Iowa on March 18, 1909. On Jan. 10, 1910 she was united in marriage with Paul Bednarz and moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where they resided till 1918 when they purchased a farm in the town of Roosevelt. They retired in 1944 to reside in the Village of Lublin. Mrs. Bednarz was an active member of the Holy Rosary.

Surviving are her husband, Paul and the following children: Mrs. Sophie Graikowski, Mrs. Anna Casey, Mrs. Julia Maton, all of Chicago, Ill., and son, Brother Joseph Bednarz of the Hospiatller Order of St. John of God in Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Zmuda of Poland. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Graikowski and children, Dorothy and Robert, Mrs. Anna Casey, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Maton and daughter Carol, Mr. Ray Parker, Marie Swartz and Mrs. J. C. Wiater and son Jackie, all of Chicago; Brother Joseph Bednarz, O.S.J.D. of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. John Kapuster and Verna Golewski of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jaeger of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Graikowski, Sr., and Mrs. Celia Mikrut of Thorp.
