White, Verna B. (19 Nov. 1917 - 5 Dec. 2008)
MEDFORD -- Verna B. White, 91, of Medford, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, town of Little Black.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, where there will be a 6:45 p.m. VFW Ladies Auxiliary service and 7 p.m. rosary service; and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Verna was born Nov. 19, 1917, in Rib Lake, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Gerstberger) Krueger.
She was united in marriage July 24, 1941, in Rib Lake to Alfred "Pete" W. White. He preceded her in death March 16, 1997.
Verna was a homemaker for most of her life.
She is survived by her children, Virginia (Richard) Voogd of Medford; Rebecca (Paul) Darby of Denver, Colo.; Victoria (Dan) Newbauer of Tomahawk; Jacquelin (Randy) Gregory of Medford; Dorothy White of Milwaukee; Debra Luckmann of Colombia, S.C.; Pam (Bruce) Higgins, Peter and Joseph White, all of Medford. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Vera Wallace of Hartford.
