-Canon, Clara (Marriage - 27 MAY 1947)
The marriage of Clara Canon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Canon of Sheldon, and Herbert Konsella was solemnized Tuesday, May 27, 1947, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at Gilman. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John A Dzurko.
The bride wore a gown of white marquisette and a fingertip veil, falling from a beaded headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations.
Attending the bride was her sister, Mrs. Norman Wondrow, who was gowned in blue chiffon and carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations. Mrs. Joseph Swatzina, a sister of the groom, another attendant, was dressed in pink chiffon and carried a similar bouquet.
The groom was attended by Norman Wondrow and Joseph Swatzina.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to 50 friends and relatives at the bride’s home. A dance was given in the evening at the Jump River Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Konsella will make their home on a farm at Stanley.
