Piater, Ruby (7 Dec. 1917 - 24 Nov. 2008)

MEDFORD -- Ruby Piater, 90, of the town of Browning died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at golden Living Center in Rib Lake.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford. Interment will be in Medford Evergreen II Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Hemer Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She was born Dec. 7, 1917, in the town of Browning to Louis and Annie (Paur) Jari. She married John Piater on June 25, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa. Ruby and John owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Browning.

Surviving are her husband, John Piater, of the town of Browning; daughter, Sharon (Thomas) Fuhrmann, Weyerhaeuser; brother, Arthur Jari, Medford; and sister, Marion Ihlenfeld, West Bend.
