Heier, Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Bach) (November 5, 1933 - December 31, 2010)
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Heier, 77, Medford, died Friday, Dec 31 at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford, where she had resided the past nine years.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Cremainal inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Little Black. Honorary pallbearers are Dan, Bob and Bill Venne, Jim and Dave Bach and D. Isaac Lawson.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of
the service.
The former Elizabeth Bach was born on November 5, 1933 in Medford to the late
Paul and Elizabeth B. (Jakel) Bach.
She was a 1951 graduate of Medford High School. She worked at Thorp Finance in Marshfield.
On June 29, 1955 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married Glenn B. Heier, who
survives.
She was a housewife, and later in life babysat in the Zenner's and Bever's homes.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and past leader of Little Black
Bears 4-H. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, music, baking and church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include six children, Mary (Leighton)
Trice of Ogdensburg, Paul (Karen) of Waupaca, Deanne (Grant) Lawson of
Milwaukee, Beth (Randy) Gleason of Sheboygan, Donna (Mundell) Maguire of Sierra
Vista, Ariz., and Steve (Jean) of Medford; a sister, Olivia Venne of Milwaukee;
two brothers, Jerome (Joanne) of Medford and Paul (Mary Kay) of Dorchester;
eight grandchildren, Catherine Trice of Ogdensburg, D. Isaac, Calli and Aliza
Lawson, all of Milwaukee, Megan Gleason of Sheboygan, Siobhan Maguire of Sierra
Vista, and Lauren and Stephanie Heier, both of Medford; two step-grandchildren;
and three step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael; a
brother, Bernard; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bach; and brother-in-law, Bob Venne.
