Peleschak, Dan (November 1, 1952 - December 31, 2010)
Dan Peleschak, 58, Thorp, died Friday, Dec. 31 at his home. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp.
Dan Peleschak was born on November 1, 1952 in Dixon, Ill., to Nick and Marjorie
(Kubera) Peleschak.
He was raised in the Town of Roosevelt, rural Thorp, and graduated from Gilman High School.
He worked for Nolechek's Meats in Thorp as a meat cutter, and later started his
own business, Dan's Meat Processing. He currently worked for the United States
Postal Service delivering mail to post offices.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Peleschak of Phelps; three children,
Robert (Billie) of Medina, ND, Lane of Austin, TX, and Nathan (Sarah) of Eau
Claire; three sisters, Gloria (Jeff) Olson and Grace (Roger) Crass, both of
Phelps, and Gail (Dan) Schmitt of Gilman; two brothers, Don (Luann) of Thorp and
Neil of Chippewa Falls; one grandson, Noah Peleschak; nieces and nephews; and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Peleschak.
