Orszanski, Luda (Kulaga) (September 27, 1915 - June 13, 2011)


Luda Orszanski, age 95, of Withee, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Lublin. Father Ted Wojcik will officiate.


A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Owen, and on Saturday, June 18 visitation and prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Owen, followed by procession to the church. Burial at Holy Assumption Orthodox Cemetery will follow the service. A celebration of life luncheon will be held after the service at the church. Please stay for lunch to celebrate Luba's life.


Luba was born on September 27, 1915 to Vincent and Tekla Kulaga in Sadova, Belarus. Luba and Mike moved to Wisconsin in 1949 and purchased a farm in Taylor County in 1956 where they raised their family.


Luba is lovingly survived by her children, Leokadia "Lea" (Larry) Fildes of Colby, Alice Orszanski of Marshfield, and Leon (Cathy) Orszanski of Clinton; and her granddaughter, Larissa Fildes of Hudson.

 

Luba is further survived by her nephew, Roman Orszanski of Melbourne, Australia, and many cousins in Canada and Europe.


She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike; one sister; and four brothers.
