Paulson, Jerrold (November 30, 1950 - June 9, 2011)
Jerrold Paulson, 60, died on Thursday, June 9 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on November 30, 1950 in Orange County, Calif., to Herbert and Esther
(Mantik) Paulson, who later moved to Wisconsin and raised their family.
He worked at North Central Health Care Center in Wausau in the bakery department, and at Black River Industries in Medford where he worked in the wood shop until he was hospitalized in late May.
Jerry enjoyed woodworking and making crafts at his home, as well as games like
rummy, with friends and family. Another of his favorite hobbies was putting
together puzzles, of which he completed many through the years. He loved to sing
gospel songs and he would pray for everyone. He especially looked forward to his
big birthday party every year and Christmas, for he truly loved playing Santa
and giving out gifts. Jerry loved life, his family and his friends. He enjoyed
taking rides and going somewhere fun.
He is survived by his brothers, Jim (Lorelei) Paulson of Marathon, Larry
(Nancie) Paulson of Appleton, Joel (Rachel) Paulson of Athens, Wendell (Cindy)
Paulson of Gardiner, Wash.; sisters, Judy (Chuck) Dyas of Cambria, Sue Franklyn
of Hemet, Calif., Jan (Jeanne) (Richard) Becker of Wausau; numerous nieces and
nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Esther (Mantik) Paulson;
and brothers, John and Jeff Paulson.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on June 28, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Medford,
with visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, June 27 at John J. Buettgen
Funeral Home in Schofield, and 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, June
28, also at the church.
The family would like to thank Aspirus Comfort Care, Hospice Services and also
thank all of the doctors and nurses in the intensive care unit of Aspirus Wausau
Hospital for all their wonderful care of our precious Jerry-boy.
John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
