Thorson, Joseph "Joe" John (1957? - June 13, 2011)
Joseph "Joe" John Thorson, 53, Anniston, Ala., died on Monday, June 13, during a robbery.
A military funeral was held on Saturday, June 18 at Miller Funeral Home with burial at Forest Lawn Gardens in Oxford, Ala.

Funeral services for Joseph "Joe" Thorson, 53, of Anniston, will be on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home.
The Rev. Don Carroll and the Rev. Hakbae Moon will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Thorson died on Monday,June 13, 2011, in Cleburne County.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Thorson; son, Michael Thorson; mother, Marianne Thorson; brother-in-laws, Doug Childress, Pastor Peter Ohio; sister-in-law, Suky Childress; grandchildren, Angelina Thorson and Michael Thorson Jr. Pallbearers will members of The U.S. Army.
Mr. Thorson was a very friendly man to many people who knew him as the Cheaha County Store Man.
Mr. Thorson was retired from the U.S. Army with 21 years of service. He was the owner of Cheaha County Store.
