Habermeyer, Mike (March 9, 1907- September 24, 1945)
Mike Habermeyer, 40, Stetsonville, was killed instantly Monday afternoon at about 2 p.m. in a silo filling accident on the Lawrence Eton farm, five miles west of Stetsonville.
The accident victim was feeding the machine when the apron of the machine caught his hand, pulling him in to the cutting knives before the machine could be stopped. A neighbor, Otto Drake, threw the machine out of gear after the tractor was stopped.
Coroner Earle Ruesch and Sheriff E. Dietzman were called to the scene of the accident and declared his death accidental.
The deceased was born in the town of Little Black on March 9, 1907.
