Dalke, Albert Earl (May 17, 1931 - August 28, 2011)

Albert Earl Dalke, 80, Monett, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at Cox Monett Hospital.

He was born on May 17, 1931 in Weatherford, Okla., the son of the late Walter and Edith (Buskirk) Dalke. He was united in marriage on April 23, 1955 in Medford to Nona Westrich, who survives.


He was retired from managing Century Link Telephone Company in Door County. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Monett.


Albert is survived by wife, Nona; two sons, Scott Dalke and wife Anne, Sturgeon Bay, and Steve Dalke and wife Deb, Neillsville; one daughter, Sue Updyke and husband Gary, Purdy; one sister, Louise Bunch and husband Fred, Colora, Okla.; four grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Carlos and Mioara; and two great-grandchildren, Ann Marie and Teal.


He was preceded in death by both his parents, Walter and Edith.


A memorial service was held at First Freewill Baptist Church on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Freewill Baptist Church in Monett, Mo., or Benchmark Health Care Center in Monett, Mo.


Arrangements are under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Mo.
