Dums, Debra "Deb" Faye (Jones) (October 5, 1964 - November 18, 2011)

Debra "Deb" Faye Dums, 47, Rib Lake, died on Friday, Nov. 18 at her home surrounded by her family, and under hospice and palliative care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, with Rev. James Heffner officiating. Interment will be at St. Ann's Cemetery in the Town of Greenwood. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Franz, Todd Schupp, Jes Obenberger, Neil Kauer, Ronnie Judnic and Darlene Kohls. Special honorary pallbearer is Ben Kauer.


Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Debra Jones was born on October 5, 1964 in Medford to the late LeRoy and Dorothy (Willett) Jones. She attended Clearview Graded School and Westboro Graded School, and was a 1982 graduate of Rib Lake High School.


On September 14, 1985 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, she married Martin "Marty" James Dums, who survives. She worked at Tannery Lane and later at Great Northern Cabinetry as a CNC operator.


She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a past Sunday school teacher, and a community volunteer. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.


In addition to her husband, survivors include two children, Jeremy of Rib Lake and Sadie Lee (Jason) Fahl of Ogema; five brothers, Bob (Phyllis) Kelnhoffer of South Milwaukee, Ray (Sandy) Kelnhoffer and Rocky (Carolyn) Jones, both of Westboro, Kevin (Terri) Jones of Spencer and Terry (Rae) Jones of Corpus Christie, Texas; two sisters, Darlene (Ron) Judnic of Rib Lake and Tammy (Dan) Franz of Medford; mother-in-law, Irene Dums of Rib Lake; three grandchildren, Alivia Lynn Leech, Lexi Faye and Adam Fahl; nieces and nephews; and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joann Jones; a nephew, Clark Judnic; and father-in-law, James Dums.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be given to the family.
