Voght, Christopher (April 8, 1990 - December 29, 2011)

Christopher Voght, 21, Denmark, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 29.

He was born on April 8, 1990 in Green Bay, and graduated from Denmark High School in 2008.

He was employed by Belgioioso Cheese, and was a partner in Timmbr Excavating and was always on call for the "old man." As a youngster, he had lived in Medford for a short time.

Chris was very giving, outgoing, sensitive, softhearted and kind to all. He enjoyed numerous outdoor activities, especially fishing, bow hunting and snowmobiling. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and joking around, sharing a laugh. He exceeded his expectations at the age of 20.

Chris was always willing to lend a helping hand and in a final act of compassion, his organs were donated to give the gift of life.

Survivors include his mother, Tammy Viegut; "Dad," Timm Gay; biological father, Curt Voght; brother, Justin (LaRae) McFaul of Vilsek, Germany; sister, Angela M. Voght of Green Bay; grandparents Allen (Wendy) Viegut of Green Bay (formerly of Rib Lake); great-grandmother, Dorothy Brisbin of St. Paul, Minn.; special friend Sabrina Sprenger-Martens; beloved puppy, Mader; numerous aunts and uncles; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David (Lorraine) Gay, and great-grandfather, Donald Brisbin.
