Buchkowski, Sierra R. (February 28, 1994 - January 18, 2012)

Sierra R. Buchkowski, 17, Medford, died on Wednesday, Jan 18 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been a patient for one day. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

Sierra Buchkowski was born on February 28, 1994 in Wausau to Tina Slagoski and Harry Buchkowski Jr. She was a senior at Medford Area Senior High School. She enjoyed swimming, camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and her cat, Snicker.

Survivors include her mother, Tina (Jim) Ludwig of Medford; her father, Harry Buchkowski Jr. of Hatley; two sisters, Alexia Buchkowski of Rib Lake and Paige Ludwig of Medford; two brothers, Marcus and Andrew Ludwig, both of Medford; maternal grandmother, Carol (Steve) Schlais of Mitchell, S.D.; paternal grandparents, Harry (Patricia) Buchkowski of Hatley; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family to be designated at a later date.
