Griesbach, Allen H. (August 24, 1948 - January 30, 2012)

Allen H. Griesbach, 63, Colby, died on Monday, Jan. 30 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient the past week.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Pastor Bruce Jahnke officiating.


Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.


Allen Griesbach was born on August 24, 1948 in Racine to the late Herman H. and Helen (Steffen) Griesbach. He attended Colby area elementary schools and Colby High School.


In 1968 in Neillsville, he married Shirley A. Fischer, and they later divorced. He farmed in the Town of Colby until his recent ill health.


He enjoyed tractor pulls, garage sales and his family.


Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Griesbach of Colby; a son, Jeffrey of Colby; four grandchildren, Tiara (Omar) Bonilla of Abbotsford, Cassius Griesbach of Colby, and Colton and Autumn Werner of Whittlesey; and one great-grandchild.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina M. Werner in 2010.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the family for future designation.
