Henke, Robert "Bob" (1932? - February 11, 2012)

Robert "Bob" Henke, 80, Waukesha, died on Saturday, Feb. 11. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Cesarz, Charapata and Zinnecker Funeral Home of Waukesha. Entombment took place on Friday, Feb. 17 at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.


Robert Henke was born in northern Wisconsin to Ermon and Irma Henke.


On August 25, 1951, he married Carol J. Hildebran, who survives. He worked at Bundy Construction, retiring in 2000. He played guitar in the band The Country Travelers until 1982.


He was a member of Laborers Union 113 and Operating Engineers Local 139, and later drove cars for the local Wilde Auto Dealer in town. He enjoyed going to the casinos and being a musician.


In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Sandy (Ed) Grosh of Waukesha; a sister, Karen Wood of Gillett; sisters-in-law, Cathy Henke of Medford, and Barb (Dave) Smith and Joanne Hildebran, both of Waukesha; two grandchildren, Eric (Leah) Grosh of Seattle, Wash., and Chris Grosh of Waukesha; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Malin, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
