McCrellias, Nancy Jane (Hebert) (28 JAN 1933 - 13 JUN 2012)

 

Nancy Jane (Hebert) McCrellias, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at her home in Lincoln Park, Mich. Funeral services were held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Lincoln Park. Burial will be at Mt. Olive cemetery in Westboro.


Nancy McCrellias was born on January 28, 1933 in Westboro to the late Archie and Mildred (Streeter) Hebert. She attended school in Westboro.


On August 17, 1949 in Detroit, Mich., she married Berthold McCrellias, who preceded her in death on April 17, 1986. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Detroit before leaving to raise her family.


She was very much involved in activities related to her church and to Detroit downriver area special education, Arkay, and the ARC. She also enjoyed family history, gardening, reading and travel, for the past 25 years making annual road trips with her good friend, Irene Durisin. In 1998, she also spent time in China with her two daughters and son-in-law.


Nancy is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth McCrellias, of the family home, and Carol McCrellias (David Pearson) of Honeoye Falls, N.Y. Also surviving are two sisters, Ann Olah of Westboro and Lois Sherfield of Indianapolis, Ind., and a brother, John Hebert of Rib Lake.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; by brothers, Donald Hebert of St. Paul, Minn., and Archie "Joe" Hebert of Westboro; and by sister, Linda Fritsch of Westboro.
