PITTSVILLE -- Marian E. (Yeske) Leach, 89, of Babcock, died Sat. Oct. 18, 2008, at the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.
Buchanan Funeral Home of Pittsville is assisting the family with the arrangements.

PITTSVILLE -- Marian E. (Yeske) Leach, 89, of Babcock died at 6 p.m. Sat. Oct. 18, 2008, at Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wed., Oct. 22, at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville. The Rev. Deb Kunkel will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Vesper.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wed. at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Arpin to Ernest and Marjorie (Alms) Kummer. Marian received her education at Maple Grove School in the town of Richfield. Before marriage she worked on her parents' farm and did housekeeping. She later worked at Vesper Elementary School and Frank Gills Roller plant in Vesper.
Marian and Frank Yeske were married Oct. 21, 1944, at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper. He died Oct. 22, 1970. She married Erwin Leach of Babcock on Feb. 28, 1985, in Harlingen, Texas, where they spent winters. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1992.
Marian enjoyed visiting at Family Heritage and flower gardening. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Babcock and the Babcock Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her son, Donald (Lynn Mitchell) Yeske, Vesper; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Yeske, Wisconsin Rapids; and two grandchildren, Amber (Earl) Taylor, Nekoosa, and Aaron (Rebecca) Yeske, Wisconsin Rapids. She is further survived by her sisters, Viola Miller, Marshfield, and Marietta Kummer, Arpin; and her brother, Herman Kummer, Crystal River, Fla.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Marian was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Ernest Kummer; and a sister, Ada Laidlaw.
