Services for John F. Fuehrer, 96, of 704 W. Arnold St. who died at 4:30 a.m. Wed. at his residence, from natural causes, will be at 10:30 a.m. Fri. at the Rembs/Kundinger Chapel.
The Rev. Donald F. Wilger of St. John’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Auburndale.
Visitations will be at the Rembs/Kundinger Chapel at 7 p.m. today and Fri. until service time. A vigil service will be conducted at 8 p.m. today.
He was born May 27, 1886 in Auburndale, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatz (Theresa Griener) Fuehrer. He received his education at St. Mary’s Parochial School in Auburndale.
He and Mary A. Baierl were married Oct. 18, 1910 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Auburndale. After their marriage they resided in Loyal for four years and then moved to Auburndale where they lived for 23 years. In 1940 they moved to Marshfield residing here since. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1970.
He was a 40-year employee for the Soo Line Railroad, retiring in 1956. He served as a railroad section foreman.
He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Evelyn) Crossman of Marshfield; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy McLellan of Necedah; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife on July 8, 1975, one daughter, Mrs. Irene Panzer, one son, Richard Fuehrer, one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.
