Stangl, Michael A. (8 June 1902 - 5 Oct. 1963)
Michael A. Stangl, 61, of 213 Hinman Ave., died of a stroke Sat.morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in ill health for the past three years.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tues. at St. John’s Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh will officiate and burial will be made in the Gate of Heaven cemetery. Friends may call at the Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), where a general rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. tonight. A Rosary-Altar Society service was held at 3 p.m. today. A Knights of Columbus rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. Sun.
Michael A. Stangl was born June 8, 1902 at Marshfield and had lived here all his life. His marriage to Marie Stauss took place April 30, 1925 at St. John’s Catholic Church. He worked for the Roddis Plywood Corporation, and for the Central Cheese Company for 25 years, until his illness three years ago.
He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Virginia) Schonfeldt, and Mrs. Ervin (Bonnie) Koenig, Marshfield; Mrs. Wendelin (Darlene) Adler, Mukwonago; Mrs. William (Jacqueline) Young Jr., Colby; Mrs. Wayne (Judy) Casperson, and Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Carl, Stratford; two sons, Eugene and Robert W., Marshfield; four sisters, Mrs. William ?moehl, and Mrs. Grover Brandt, Marshfield; Mrs. Paul Krause, Deer River, Minn.; and Mrs. Theresa Boerner, Milwaukie, Ore. And 30 grandchildren.
