TOMAHAWK -- Mabel R. Dupee, 99, died Wed., May 27, 2009, at Golden LivingCenter-Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sat. at Krueger & Sons Funeral Home in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sat. from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in Pittsville.
Mabel was born Jan. 4, 1910, in the town of Richfield, the daughter of G. Thomas and Jennie (Hiller) Harshner. She was married to Lester Dupee on Jan. 27, 1934, in Fond du Lac.
The couple moved to Wisconsin Rapids where they owned and operated a grocery store and gas station, then moved to Necedah, returning later to Fond du Lac, where she worked at Taycheedah Women's Correctional Facility for 13 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Marlene (the Rev. Joe) Kuhner of Tomahawk and Audrey (Eugene) Lefeber of Lincolnton, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Agnes) Harshner of Madison; and a sister, Vera (Austin) Petersen of River Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
