BEAVER DAM -- William A. Anding, 76, of Beaver Dam died Fri., May 8, 2009, at the University Hospital in Madison.
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. today at Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thur. at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
William was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Marshfield, the son of Alfred O. and Gertrude (Lindow) Anding. He was married to Yvonne L. Schultz on Feb. 27, 1953. He later married Jeanette Messer on June 11, 1989, at Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. While serving in the U.S. Army, he played in the 18th Army Band from 1953 to 1955. After his military service, he played with many different bands, spending most of his years playing saxophone and clarinet with the Don Peachey Band of Burnett. He also was employed at Maysteel in Mayville for 37 years.
William is survived by his wife, Jeanette Anding, Beaver Dam; five children, Michael Anding of Horicon, Robert (Katie) Anding of Florida, Thomas Anding, Donna (Curtis Philipson) Shepherd and Jayne (Joe) Weber, all of Horicon; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Koepsell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
